I haven't written a post for two months. There are reasons for this. It's not that I've forgotten about this blog or that it's unimportant to me anymore; it's just that I'm unable to continue with my past blogging habits.
In the past, the only time I blog is during my work lunchtime. An idea for a post would come about and I'd stew on it on the way to work while on the train. Then I'd pack lunch and eat in front of my computer to type it out.
This doesn't work anymore. I changed jobs in January, and on top of being much busier, the office connection blocks sites like Blogger. So the only time I'd be able to write out a post would be after work or weekends, where I'm prone to maxing out on activities with family, church and exercise; blogging would feel terribly wasteful during these times.
So I'm experimenting with different ways to integrate blogging back into my life without encroaching on these activities because it's still a big part of how I want to structure my thoughts and capture memories for the future.
I've downloaded the Blogger app for my phone and I'm going to try this method soon but I anticipate much shorter and less elaborate posts because it's hard for me to think the way I used to on such a small screen.
I'm also going to try to start a journal where I'd maybe just capture thoughts and ideas on Evernote and on a physical Notepad depending on what is convenient at that point of time, and then quickly transfer the ones I like here when I can take 10 minutes out of my downtime.
So watch this space because things are going to start moving. In the meantime, I leave you once again with what continues to take a huge chunk of my life, energy and love: my little chipmunks. :)
