Optimism

Possibly the biggest underlying factor of those who are able to bounce back from failure and setbacks is optimism.

To be able to stay positive is something that has roll-on impact into every area related to moving forward. There is a ripple effect of a person's enthusiasm, belief and passion when they are perpetually optimistic.

And this is not talking about unrealistic optimism.

It is referring to the power of hope when things are rough, and the action that comes from believing that there is a way forward.

Those who don't move forward get sad, depressed, sometimes angry, before being stuck in a state of fear of what the future holds. They may still hold stable jobs but they never step out and move forward, never stick out their necks to take a stand for something they believe in, and usually stagnate in their careers and growth.

Those who move forward still have a confidence in their ability and understand that there are outside factors that can impact on results regardless of how capable or skilled they are. They plough forward relentlessly knowing that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and build momentum doing actions that they know are good and will bring about a positive result if they keep it up.

It's time to lift our heads out of the mud and hold it up high in the face of stormy situations...especially if we believe that our Creator has it all in His hands and has the best in store for us.
